বাংলাদেশ মানে কি কেবলই দলে দলে ভাগ হওয়া ?

“বাংলাদেশ মানে কি কেবলই দলে দলে ভাগ হওয়া ?” এই প্রশ্নটি আজ আর কেবল হতাশার নয়, বরং হয়ে উঠেছে তীব্র প্রতিবাদের ভাষা। স্বাধীনতা-উত্তর বাংলাদেশ একদিন স্বপ্ন দেখেছিল একটি গণতান্ত্রিক, অংশগ্রহণমূলক, ন্যায়ভিত্তিক সমাজ ব্যবস্থার। অথচ আজকের বাস্তবতা হলো আমরা যেন ‘মানুষ’ নই, বরং ‘কোন দলে’ আছি, তা দিয়েই আমাদের পরিচয় নির্ধারিত হয়।

দল পরিচয়েই পরিচয় !

আজ বাংলাদেশে কারো সঙ্গে আলোচনা করতে গেলে প্রথমেই প্রশ্ন উঠে “কোন দলের?” একজন ভালো শিক্ষক, গবেষক, চিকিৎসক, কিংবা সমাজকর্মী কোনও কিছুই তার দলীয় পরিচয় ছাড়া বিবেচিত হয় না। দল নির্ধারণ করে আপনি চাকরি পাবেন কিনা, টেন্ডার পাবেন কিনা, এমনকি বাঁচবেন কিনা। একটি জাতি যদি নিজেকে রাজনৈতিক পক্ষ-বিপক্ষের ‘গোত্রে’ ভাগ করে নেয়, তাহলে সেই জাতির স্বাধীন চিন্তা, সমষ্টিগত স্বপ্ন আর নৈতিক অবস্থান ধীরে ধীরে বিলীন হয়ে যায়।

দল নয়, মতভিন্নতা হওয়া উচিত গণতন্ত্রের সৌন্দর্য

গণতন্ত্রে ভিন্নমত থাকা স্বাভাবিক এটা তার শক্তি। কিন্তু আমরা ভিন্নমতকে ‘শত্রুতা’ হিসেবে নিতে শিখেছি। যার মানে আপনি যদি কোনো দলের সমর্থক না হন, আপনি ‘রাষ্ট্রবিরোধী’ হয়ে যেতে পারেন। অথচ একজন সচেতন নাগরিক যদি ভুল দেখে চুপ থাকে, সেটাই প্রকৃত অন্যায়। আমরা ভুলে যাই রাষ্ট্র ও রাজনৈতিক দল এক জিনিস নয়। দল জনগণের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার জন্য, রাষ্ট্র পরিচালনার দায়িত্ব পেতে চায়। কিন্তু দল যদি রাষ্ট্রে পরিণত হয়ে যায়, তখন গণতন্ত্র মুখোশ পরে স্বৈরতন্ত্র চালায়।

রাজনীতি মানেই দলভিত্তিক প্রতিহিংসা ?

আজ রাজনৈতিক প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা মানেই যেন প্রতিশোধ, সহিংসতা, আর নিপীড়ন। এক দল ক্ষমতায় থাকলে অন্য দলের কর্মীরা হয় বেকার, জেলে, অথবা লুকিয়ে থাকা। আমরা যেন রাজনৈতিক মতভেদে এতটাই বিভক্ত হয়ে গেছি যে ‘মানবিকতা’ বা ‘ন্যায়বিচার’ এখন দলনির্ভর শব্দ। একজন ধর্ষণকারীর দলীয় পরিচয় খুঁজে আমরা তার অপরাধকে জায়েজ করতে চাই। একজন দুর্নীতিবাজের দলীয় অবস্থান বিবেচনায় নিয়ে বিচার হয় কি না তা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন থাকে। তাহলে আমরা কীভাবে একটি সভ্য, ন্যায়ভিত্তিক রাষ্ট্র হিসেবে নিজেদের ভাবব?

বাংলাদেশ কি কেবল দলীয় তর্কবিতর্কের জন্য?

না, বাংলাদেশ ছিল, এবং আছে একটি বহুমাত্রিক সম্ভাবনার নাম হিসেবে। এই দেশ কেবল রাজনৈতিক নেতাদের জন্য নয়; এই দেশ একজন কৃষকের, একজন নার্সের, একজন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রের, একজন দিনমজুরের। এই দেশের ভবিষ্যৎ তাদের হাতে,  নয় কেবল একটি দলের হাতে।রাজনীতি থাকা দরকার, কিন্তু সেটি হতে হবে জনস্বার্থভিত্তিক। মতভেদ থাকবে, কিন্তু সেটা জাতিকে সমৃদ্ধ করবে, বিভক্ত নয়। দল থাকুক কিন্তু দল যেন রাষ্ট্র না হয়।

উপসংহার: দল নয়, মানুষের বাংলাদেশ চাই

বাংলাদেশ মানে দল নয় ,মানুষ। এখানে মানুষের স্বপ্ন, শ্রম, অধিকার, ভালবাসা সবকিছুই রাষ্ট্রের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত। অথচ আমাদের রাজনীতি ক্রমে তা ভুলিয়ে দিচ্ছে।সময় এসেছে প্রশ্ন করার, আমরা কি দলনির্ভর জাতি হয়ে থাকব, নাকি মানুষনির্ভর রাষ্ট্র গড়ব? ভবিষ্যৎ নির্ভর করছে আমাদের উত্তর দেওয়ার সক্ষমতার ওপর।

 Is Bangladesh just about political divisions?  This question is no longer one of despair, it has become a fierce protest against a growing political culture that prioritizes allegiance over ability, party over people, and power over justice.

When Bangladesh gained independence, it dreamt of a democratic, inclusive, and fair society. Yet today, the ground reality suggests that our identity often boils down to a single question: “Which party do you belong to?”

Political Identity Has Become the Only Identity

In today’s Bangladesh, before discussing someone’s contribution or character, we often ask: “Which party is he/she with?” A great teacher, a skilled doctor, a devoted social worker, even a promising student are all judged not by merit, but by party affiliation.

Whether you get a job, a government service, a development project or even survive politically or socially can depend on where you stand politically.

A nation cannot thrive when its citizens are divided into political tribes. It loses its collective spirit, its moral compass, and its sense of future.

Democracy Needs Dissent, Not Division

In a true democracy, differing opinions are strengths not threats. But in Bangladesh, disagreement is often labeled as enmity. If you do not support the ruling party, you risk being branded as an "enemy of the state." Let’s be clear: political parties and the state are not the same. Political parties are supposed to serve the people. But when parties begin to act like they own the state, democracy becomes a disguise for authoritarianism.

 

Politics Has Become a Cycle of Vengeance

In today’s political culture, opposition is not about policy differences it’s about elimination. When one party is in power, others are often pushed into prisons, exile, or unemployment.

This environment has bred a mindset where even crimes like corruption or violence are judged through the lens of political identity. Is a criminal more innocent if they’re from the ruling party? Is a protest more violent because it's organized by the opposition? If the answer depends on party, then justice itself is broken.

Is Bangladesh Only for the Politicians?

Absolutely not. Bangladesh is not just for political actors. It belongs to the farmer, the day laborer, the university student, the nurse, and the woman in a distant village trying to make ends meet. Politics must serve the public not the other way around. Party differences can and should exist but they must enrich the nation, not divide it. Political parties are necessary, but they should never become the state itself.

Conclusion: We Want a People-Centered Bangladesh

Bangladesh is not just a land of parties it is a nation of people. It is built on their dreams, their labor, and their rights. Unfortunately, our current political system is slowly erasing this truth.

Now is the time to ask:

Will we remain a party-driven society, or will we build a people-driven state?

The future depends on how we answer.
